Boost now works inside Shopify Sidekick, so you can ask which searches are losing you sales and fix them in Boost in minutes.

Just open Sidekick right inside your Shopify admin and ask in plain English, Sidekick answers from your Boost analytics: the revenue Boost drives, the searches that return nothing, and the filters shoppers use most. When it finds a problem, it links you to the Boost page where you fix it.

Sidekick only reads and links, so every change stays in your hands.

Quick summary: 3 things you will learn

What Sidekick shows when you ask which searches are costing you sales.
The four areas Sidekick can answer about: App Impact, Search, Collections & Filters, and Recommendations.
How to turn a Sidekick answer, like a list of zero-result searches, into a fix in Boost in one click.

What is Shopify Sidekick?

Shopify Sidekick is the AI assistant built into your Shopify admin that answers questions and helps you complete tasks in everyday language.

Shopify describes Sidekick as "an AI-enabled commerce assistant" that you can open from any page of your admin, on desktop or mobile. It also works with third-party apps to answer questions, and Boost is now one of those apps. There's nothing to set up. Open Sidekick, ask your question, and it finds the right Boost data on its own. You don't even need to mention Boost in your question.

Ask Shopify Sidekick which searches are costing you sales

What customers want but couldn't find is a great start for your inventory planning.

Getting the answer to the question "Which search terms returned no results this month?" is simple with Boost x Sidekick integration.

Sidekick answers from your Boost Search analytics. It lists the terms shoppers typed that returned no products.

Under the answer, Sidekick links you to the Synonyms page in Boost. Connect each term to products you already sell, for example "joggers" to your track pants, and save. The next shopper who searches that term sees products instead of an empty results page.

What can you ask Sidekick about Boost?

You can ask Sidekick about four areas of your Boost analytics: App Impact, Search, Collections & Filters, and Recommendations.

Data Area	What Sidekick Can Tell You	Try Asking
App Impact	The revenue, orders, conversion rate, average order value, and revenue per visitor that Boost drives across Search, Filters, and Recommendations.	"How much revenue did Boost drive this month?"
Search	Your top searches, click and conversion rates, and the searches that get no clicks or no results.	"Which search terms returned no results?"
Collections & Filters	Your top collections, collection revenue, and the filters and filter combinations shoppers use most.	"Which filters do shoppers use most?"
Recommendations	Revenue, click and conversion rates, and your top pages, widgets, and products.	"How are my recommendation widgets performing?"

App Impact questions are the fastest way to see the return Boost delivers. Ask before a team meeting or a budget review, and you'll have the number in your own words, in seconds. Search and filter questions show you what shoppers want, so you can decide what to promote, stock, and fix next.

How far back can Sidekick look?

You can ask about any time range from 1 day up to your plan's limit. Sidekick shows the last 7 days by default. Data refreshes daily, so answers reflect yesterday's numbers.

How do you go from a Sidekick answer to a fix?

When Sidekick finds something worth fixing, you can go straight to the Boost page where you make the change.

Every search that returns nothing is a shopper who wanted to buy and couldn't. Fixing those dead ends shows up in revenue.

In a 50/50 A/B test against Shopify's native search, Pace Athletic lifted revenue per visitor by 7.6% once Boost understood the nicknames and abbreviations runners actually type. Urban Sales improved its sitewide conversion rate by 14% with more relevant search and merchandising rules that put high-converting products first.

"We never had a demand problem. We had a discovery problem." Reem Hummeida, CRO Specialist at Sandro, who achieved 2.6x growth in AOV with Boost.

Sidekick shows you where shoppers can't find what they want. You make the fix in Boost.

Put your best products first

Making your most wanted products easier to spot is a great idea to boost sales.

Ask Sidekick "What are my top searches this week?". From any search insight, you can open Search Merchandising in Boost. Pin or boost the "most-searched" items so shoppers see your strongest options at the top of the results.

From question to saved change, the whole process takes a few minutes.

Is Shopify Sidekick safe to use with your store data?

Yes. Sidekick asks your permission before it reads your Boost data, and it can only read and link, so nothing in your store changes until you save a change in Boost.

No setup needed. Once Boost is installed, open Sidekick from the top-right corner of your Shopify admin and ask. There's no extra setting to manage.
Sidekick asks first. The first time you ask a Boost question, Sidekick asks for permission to access your Boost data. Choose "Yes, and don't ask again" to skip this step next time.
It reads and links, nothing more. Sidekick can't edit your synonyms, merchandising, or any other Boost setting. It opens the right page, and you make and save the change.
