Align your Bestseller and AI recommendation widgets with sales strategies using rule-based logic

One-size-fits-all lists are a thing of the past. In Q4, we transformed static recommendations into dynamic merchandising tools that respond to context.

You can now use smart "IF / THEN" logic for your 'Bestsellers' recommendation widgets. This gives you total control to show the right products at the right time.

Use cases:

Pin & Exclude: Manually pin high-priority items to the top of the list or exclude products you don't want to feature.
Context Awareness: Set rules so the recommendations change based on what the user is viewing. For example, if a user is on the "Summer" collection page, the widget can automatically filter to show only "Summer" bestsellers.
Attribute Filtering: Filter your bestsellers by specific tags, vendors, or price ranges to keep recommendations relevant.

In-depth integration with REVIEWS.io: convert social proof into sales

We are excited to announce a deeper integration with REVIEWS.io that works across Bestsellers, AI Frequently Bought Together, and AI Related Items widgets.

Rating-based Merchandising

This feature lets you merchandise based on true trustworthiness. Smart merchandising rules can be set based on star rating and review count, as an additional condition, distinguishing between products with one 5-star review and those with many 4.5-star reviews.

Here are a few ways you can use it:

Promote Proven Winners: Set a rule to Boost products with a rating of "4 stars or higher" AND "10 or more reviews." This ensures you're only promoting items that have established, reliable popularity.
Downplay Risky Items: Automatically Demote or Hide products that have "less than 3 stars" AND "5 or more reviews," thereby protecting your brand experience by downplaying items that consistently perform poorly.
Works with Global Strategies: This new condition also works perfectly with Merchandising by Markets, so you can set different social proof standards for each region you sell in.

Filter by social proof for ‘Bestsellers’ and AI recommendation widgets

You can now use Review Count and Star Rating as attributes in your filtering rules across Bestsellers, AI Frequently Bought Together, and AI Related Items widgets.

This means you can set a rule to display only products with a rating of 4 stars or higher and at least 10 reviews. This ensures your recommendations are not just popular but also trusted and verified by other customers.

Here is how you can put these new features to work:

The Quality Control: Create a rule to hide any "Bestseller" that has dropped below a 3-star rating, ensuring you only promote high-quality items.
The Cross-Sell: When a user views a "Shirts" collection, set a rule to show the bestselling "Skirts" or "Pants" to encourage a complete outfit purchase.
The Strategic Pin: Manually pin a high-margin product to the #1 spot in your Bestsellers widget to maximize its visibility, regardless of its current sales volume.

Streamline your bundling strategies to hike your AOV

Increasing basket size shouldn't be a headache for your customers. We removed the friction from volume discounts to help you sell more.

Mix & Match Variants in Bundles

Previously, volume discounts often forced shoppers to buy identical items (e.g., 3x Large Red T-shirts). We solved this. You can now allow shoppers to select different variants for each item in a single "Buy More, Save More" offer.

Real-World Win: A customer can buy one Large Red, one Medium Blue, and one Small Green shirt, all while getting the bundle discount. This is a massive win for conversions and reducing cart abandonment.

Volume Discounts by Collection

Manually selecting products for a promotion is inefficient. You can now apply a volume discount to one or more entire collections at once. This makes creating sitewide or category-specific promotions a breeze.

Enjoy design freedom for a branded experience

Your tech stack should never compromise your brand's look. We added new styling options to ensure Boost blends seamlessly with your theme.

Visual Swatches for Any Option

We removed the limitation that restricted visual swatches to options explicitly named 'color'. You can now choose any display style (One color, Two colors, Image, or Text) for any variant option field. Whether you sell fabric patterns, wood finishes, or use local language terms like "Terrakotta," your swatches will look exactly how you want them.

New Back-in-Stock (BIS) Button Layouts

A seamless design builds trust. In addition to the standard Floating button, you can now choose an Inline button or a Hyperlink style for your Back-in-Stock alerts.

Inline Button: Fits naturally alongside other product actions.
Hyperlink: A subtle text-only link ideal for minimalist layouts.

Other improvements to help you grow with operational efficiency

We know you are busy. These updates are designed to save you time in the admin panel so you can get back to strategy.

Global Merchandising Banners: Apply a single promotional banner to all collection pages or search terms in a single step.
Bulk Merchandising Rules: Apply a single rule to up to 20 different collections simultaneously. This is perfect for applying a uniform look to broad product categories.
Simplified Search Menu: We centralized control. Everything now lives under a single "Engine control" hub, so you don't get lost in tabs.
Instant Theme Sync: Added a "Sync theme" button to force immediate updates when integrating a new theme, eliminating the wait for automatic updates.
